About

From "one of cinema's greatest magicians working" (SlashFilm), director George Miller (MAD MAX: FURY ROAD) delivers a long-awaited fantastical romance based on the 1994 short story The Djinn in the Nightingale’s Eye. THREE THOUSAND YEARS OF LONGING made its debut at the Cannes Film Festval, where it was met with a six-minute standing ovation, and has been deemed by Indiewire as "a wish come true." Starring Oscar winner Tilda Swinton (SNOWPIERCER, SUSPIRIA) and Idris Elba (BEASTS OF NO NATION, THOR: RAGNAROK), the film follows a lonely scholar on a trip to Istanbul, who discovers a Djinn who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom.
